Personal Coaching

It’s not easy to make time to “work on” yourself as a mom. But working with a coach gives you permission to finally take yourself seriously. To turn the “I will someday” to “I am now.”

So many of us go through the motions of growing our families on autopilot—or worse, by compromising and sacrificing. Coaching is an invitation to grow through this journey.

Work with Me - Support for Moms

I’m here to help you. For some that means offering emotional support when life feels lonely as it often does during this time. For other that means identifying the goals that matter to you on this journey and working with you to find ways to achieve them. Unlike traditional therapy, we don’t spend too much time rummaging around the past but rather looking at life now and how you want it to be in the future.

I love working with women during this pivotal transition for many reasons, but a big one is because motherhood cracks women open. Being enabler to and witness of someone in expansion is amazing. There’s nothing quite like it.

WORKING TOGETHER

When you reach out, we will set up an initial 15-minute session together. This free session enables us to connect and determine if I’m the right person to help you achieve your goals.

In working with moms, I have found that longer-term coaching relationships reap the most sustainable change.

That’s why I offer 6 or 12 session packages—in addition to single sessions.

Single sessions are helpful for those who are curious about coaching and trying to figure out if it’s a good fit for them and their capacity. I know how hard it can be to juggle all of life’s demands as an expecting or new parent, so this option is always available for flexibility.

I offer 6 sessions for those who are in a challenging season and want intentional and committed support during this time.

I suggest 12 sessions for those committed to bigger transformation. This enables time for a dismantling of thought patterns and behaviors, adoption of new ones, and integration of them…with a little trial and error along the way. The longer engagement also allows for the changes you make to withstand unique seasonal swirls, especially those that come in early parenthood.

I ask for a willingness to be open to the process. Changing our mindset and self-talk can feel awkward and we’ll go through some silly, ugly duckling phases along the way.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

> Our sessions are 50-minutes long held over Zoom
> Clear post-care plans with effective strategies and actionable, achievable steps
> Resource referrals when you need additional support from other perinatal experts

  • In our coaching sessions, I offer personalized support to expecting and new moms, focusing on mental and emotional well-being during the prenatal and postpartum periods. My goal is to empower mothers with the tools and strategies needed to navigate the challenges of motherhood, ensuring a healthy and positive experience for both mom and baby—and together as a family.

  • While therapists provide clinical diagnoses and treatment for mental health disorders, perinatal behavioral health coaching focuses on providing you with practical support and strategies to enhance well-being and manage everyday challenges.

I often work alongside therapists and other perinatal health providers to complement their care and provide additional support tailored to your unique needs as an expecting and new mom.

  • I am confident supporting hopeful, expecting, and new moms experiencing a range of perinatal mental health concerns, including anxiety, overwhelm, stress, and adjustment difficulties. Many can benefit from postpartum coaching, whether you are first-time parents or parents adding to your family. My focus is to support those seeking to enhance their overall emotional well-being during this critical time.

  • I am a certified perinatal mental health coach through FamilyWell with extensive training in maternal mental health. I am also pursuing a Masters in Social Work with a focus on clinical work with the perinatal population.

I stay informed about the latest evidence-based practices by attending relevant webinars and conferences, reading journal publications, and valuing insights, resources, and successful strategies shared by my perinatal provider colleagues. I continuously add to my professional toolkit to offer the best support possible.

My holistic approach to coaching is informed by my additional certifications and training in integrative health and yoga.

I hold a Bachelors of Arts from Dartmouth College.

  • Each individual coaching session is 50 minutes.

I also offer 30 minute sessions for clients that have been with me for a while. I understand how hard it can be to take time for yourself when growing your family. We can discuss which arrangement would work best for you when we meet.

  • The cost of an individual session 50-minute session is $95.

I also offer packages for a series of sessions paid in-advance at a discounted rate:

    • 6-session package: $540

    • 12-session package: $1050

I aim to offer affordable and convenient care. While I am not currently in-network with insurance providers, I have a few scholarships available each year for those most in need. Please reach out if interested.

  • The compatibility between your needs and my capacity to fill those needs is so important to the success of our partnership and to you achieving your goals.

To determine if we are a good fit, you can reach out via the contact form with a little bit of information about yourself. I offer a free 15-minute call to discuss your needs and see how I can best support you. If it turns out that we may not be the best fit, I am happy to try to help find someone else who may be better suited to your needs.

  • As part of our initial meeting, I always conduct an assessment to determine the intensity of your needs. If I think that you could benefit from more intensive clinical intervention, I support you in finding a therapist or other healthcare providers to ensure you receive the appropriate level of care.

My goal is to provide a supportive bridge to more specialized services when necessary.

"
I cannot express how grateful I am for the support I received during my coaching sessions with Emily. As a new mom, I felt overwhelmed and unseen, struggling to communicate with my partner. Through our sessions, I gained invaluable tools to express myself and reconnect with my partner. The warmth and understanding I experienced made all the difference. I now feel empowered and heard, and our relationship has never been stronger. Thank you for helping me find my voice and for being a guiding light during such a challenging time.
